Marina Granovskaia is set to leave Chelsea this summer. The Blues are looking for a new sporting director and former Inter, Barca, and PSG full-back Maxwell is among several options, according to Fabrizio Romano.
“Chelsea owner Boehly is exploring options for the new director to replace Marina,” the reporter tweeted.
“One of many candidates is former fullback Maxwell – was already assistant sporting director at PSG.
“Boehly has 3/4 options in the list, including Michael Edwards. No decision yet.”
Michael Edwards will leave Liverpool, having decided against extending his contract with the Reds. He was responsible for signing the likes of Salah, Alisson, and Firmino.
Maxwell currently works for PSG as an assistant sporting director. He has been employed by the Parisian side since 2017, thus he worked with Thomas Tuchel during the German’s spell at Parc des Princes.
