According to Marca, a tier-one Spanish news outlet, Atletico Madrid have rejected the opportunity to sign Cristiano Ronaldo this summer.
On Monday, shocking rumours suggested that the 37-year-old could join Diego Simeone’s side as he attempts to leave Manchester United.
Marca understands Atletico have no intention of pursuing a deal simply because of Ronaldo’s exorbitant wages.
The report further adds that Cristiano’s agent Jorge Mendes has spoken to clubs like Chelsea, Bayern Munich and PSG – only for them all to opt against a transfer.
