Alvaro Morata joining Man United in the summer transfer window is now a ‘genuine possibility’, claims The Athletic.
The Red Devils have held talks with the Atletico Madrid striker’s representatives and know that the Spanish club are willing to sell.
Morata is available for around £30m, but the La Liga side might even accept a loan deal with the obligation to buy on a permanent basis next year.
The Spaniard has had the experience of playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, having done so in his stints with Real Madrid and Juventus.
Morata was a major target for the Red Devils back in 2017 and came close to joining the club, only for United to sign Romelu Lukaku instead.
The 29-year-old made 48 appearances on loan at Juventus last season, scoring 12 goals and providing 9 assists.
