Jamie Carragher Reveals Where Manchester United Will Finish Next Season Under Erik Ten Hag

Speaking to Sky Sports, Jamie Carragher said: “I think there’s a long road for Manchester United in terms of challenging for the title.

“Erik Ten Hag’s first thing is to get back in the Champions League where it belongs — Man United are one of the biggest clubs in the world.

“Once they do that, then they will look to get back in the title race. But it’s not going to be easy to get back into the top four this season.

“And not just for Man United. You would expect Manchester City and Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham are getting stronger and Arsenal too.

“This manager has a really good CV and they’ve had a good pre-season — they’ll hope they get Frenkie De Jong, he could make a big difference for them.”

Ten Hag will be expected to challenge for the Premier League title in his first season at Old Trafford with the Dutchman tasked with rebuilding the squad.

However, the Glazers will be counting on the 52-year-old to get Man United back into the Champions League with the Red Devils finishing just sixth last season.
