Paris Saint-Germain are facing a near-impossible deadline to get rid of Neymar, according to Sky Sports.
The Ligue 1 giants must sell the 30-year-old by Friday, July 1, or see his contract automatically extend until 2027.
A clause says that Brazilian’s £600,000-a-week deal, which runs until 2026, will be extended for a further year on Friday.
This would mean that should they fail to offload the player, PSG would have to pay Neymar another year of his £31.2 million salary.
Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has worked with the Brazilian before during his time at Paris Saint-Germain and knows his potential. However, a deal for the skillful forward could be unlikely given his hefty wages.
But in football transfers of today, we never say never until the deadline day.
