Given the 4-0 loss to London rivals last time out, Thomas Tuchel made it obvious that he wants a reaction with the start of the new Premier League campaign just over a week away now.
The Blues have had a mixed bag of results, having beaten Club America and lost a penalty shoot-out against Charlotte before the loss to Arsenal.
Summer signings Kalidou Koulibaly and Raheem Sterling have already made their pre-season debuts for the club. They will both hope to get a good amount of minutes under their belt to get comfortable playing with their new teammates.
Armando Broja and Billy Gilmour, who left early from the camp in America, traveled with the squad and the latter was able to get a few minutes in the 3-1 defeat of the Italian side Udinese.
The game with Udinese ended in 3-1 in Chelsea’s favor. The Blues had a lot more of the ball and used it to their advantage in the first half, scoring twice – and that felt too few considering the number of chances they had.
