So we’re taking a look at how United could lineup should the transfer come to fruition and De Jong unites with his former boss.
It is also looking increasingly likely that Pogba will make his departure from the club, while Van De Beek could make his return from loan as he was one of Ten Hag’s boys as Ajax.

Frenkie would almost certainly be a starter, with his level of experience and ability. United are also in the market for a defensive midfielder but for now, we would have to place him next to Fred who hasn’t been half bad this season.
De Jong has functioned as a deep-lying ball progressing midfielder in Ten Hag’s Ajax, sometimes even dropping all the way in between the center-backs to pick up the ball and run with it. He has great balance and vision and makes good decisions on the ball.
We will have to see how Van De Beek and Bruno fit into Ten Hag’s system but Frenkie is surely going to be on the team sheet as he provides something different to those two players and functions in a more deeper role.
