Jorginho and Koulibaly are friends since their days in Napoli and the former has now revealed his part in convincing the latter to join Chelsea.
“I was talking to him ‘let’s play together again, I miss playing with you, it’s been a long time, come on let’s play together again,” Jorginho told Sky Sports.
“For me it was the best replacement [for Rudiger], the best choice the club could have made. I just really hope and I am sure he will be a big help for our team.”

Jorginho had played together with the Senegalese at Napoli in the past and knows the quality the center-back could bring to any squad especially for Chelsea following the exit of Antonio Rudiger this summer.
Koulibaly was Chelsea’s second signing of the summer following the arrival of Raheem Sterling from Manchester City.
