Former Barca Boss Ronald Koeman Reveals What De Jong Told Him 2 Days Ago About His Future & Man United Transfer Saga

“All I know is that Frenkie de Jong wants to stay at Barcelona,” Ronald Koeman has said via Esport3.

“He told it to me 2 days ago [on Saturday; the interview was out on Monday],” the Dutchman added.

Barcelona are said to be very close to reaching an agreement with Manchester United over Frenkie de Jong’s sale. If the player refuses to leave, the move will not happen.

Barca could negotiate with the player over a pay cut if the latter ends up staying. De Jong’s wages reportedly will rise a lot next season.
