Speaking on The Overlap, Gary Neville said: “If Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave, Manchester United should facilitate that.

“I’m not sure they could score those goals [in pre-season] if Ronaldo had been there. I’m not sure he fits into the team.

“If a player becomes the dominating factor at a press conference for a manager. we know what has to happen. You may have to go back to go forward.”
