Newcastle are monitoring the situation of Callum Hudson-Odoi at Chelsea, according to CBS reporter Ben Jacobs.
Speaking to NUFC Matters, the journalist described the Magpies’ interest in the winger as ‘real’.
Chelsea are said to be assessing his future, but it would probably take a lot to persuade them to part ways with the 21-year-old.
Hudson-Odoi struggled with a serious injury at the end of the last season that ruled him out of action for around four months.
The Blues, meanwhile, have been very slow in this summer’s market unlike the days of Roman Abramovich’s reign. The club have seen series of their target stolen from their nose by Barcelona in this transfer window with Thomas Tuchel struggling to bolster his squad ahead of the new season that is starting barely in a week’s time.
Should the Ghanian-English-born winger leave this summer, he will join the continued list of first-team Chelsea players to have exited the club already following the footsteps of Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, and Romelu Lukaku.
