Cristiano Ronaldo has been linked with a shocking return to Sporting Lisbon but manager Ruben Amorim is keeping the cards close to his chest.

He told the media: “Is Ronaldo a chance? I already heard that, I don’t read anything, I don’t see anything. For me the reality is different, keeping my players.”

Ronaldo is pushing to leave Manchester United this summer due to his desire to play in the Champions League and preserve his goalscoring record.

However, the 37-year-old is running out of options with the likes of Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Atletico Madrid not interested in his services.

Cristiano is understood to be desperate to leave Manchester United following a somewhat unsuccessful 2021-22 camaaign with the Red Devils that saw them miss Champions League football for the coming season.
