Erik ten Hag Names Those Responsible For Brentford 4-0 Humiliation As He Sets Unwanted Record As Man United Manager

Expressing his disappointment at Manchester United’s 4-0 loss to Brentford this Saturday, Erik ten Hag said in his post-match interview: “Difficult for me and a surprise. The team has to take the responsibility and I feel sorry for the fans, we let them down.

“I asked them [the players] to play with belief and take responsibility, that is what they didn’t do.

“Only when we stick together we will overcome it — don’t get me wrong, the manager is the main responsibility and I take that but I have to give them belief and they have to get it by themselves.

“Mistakes are part of football, you have to keep going but you have [to] especially act — It [three subs at half-time] was about bringing fresh ones. I could have changed all eight others as well.”

Ten Hag has clearly not held back in his assessment and United only have themselves to blame for this mess.

The Red Devils are now winless in our first two Premier League games, having conceded six goals already.
