“I thought when we shake hands you look in each other eyes. He [Conte] had a different opinion. It was not necessary but a lot of things were not necessary,” Thomas Tuchel has told Sky Sports.
“There are no hard feelings. I feel like it was a fair tackle from him [Antonio Conte] and a fair tackle from me. We did not insult each other, we did not hit each other, we are fighting for our teams,” he also said.
Thomas Tuchel’s post-match handshake with Antonio Conte turned into a real drama that kept going even in the locker rooms.
Tuchel was seemingly frustrated with some of the referee decisions preceding Tottenham’s goals, as well as with Conte’s excessive celebrations.
