“I saw four accelerations in the second half I think and they all came from Raheem Sterling,” Thomas Tuchel said after the game against Charlotte FC.
“There is no need for major doubts or criticism, but it’s never important what the manager has in his head ahead of pre-season.”
Sterling made his unofficial debut for Chelsea as he played 45 minutes in the friendly against Charlotte. The winger left a positive impression and even came close to scoring.
Raheem completed a move to Stanford Bridge for £47.5m earlier this summer.
Chelsea is still without a proven striker following the loan exit of Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan this summer
