According to Jonathan Shrager, a club insider and tier-two source, there is no agreement between Jurrien Timber and Manchester United just yet.
The Ajax center-back, 20, has been strongly linked with following Erik ten Hag to Old Trafford this summer.
Shrager understands that other clubs are interested too but Timber could be tempted to join his former boss and spearhead a revolution at United.
Jurrien’s agent is currently in England to ‘learn about United’s transfer plans’. As we reported earlier, Ten Hag has held meetings with club chiefs over the past three days to create a plan for the summer window.
Signing a new center-back is believed to be on the agenda for Ten Hag and Timber is highly rated by the Dutchman.
Meanwhile, United are also expected to sell Phil Jones and Eric Bailly, making room for another defender to potentially join the squad.
