The Times and The Athletic report that Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his desire to leave Man United. The Portuguese star wants to play in the Champions League next season.
He has asked the Red Devils to be allowed to leave the club if a reasonable bid arrives.
Chelsea, Napoli and Bayern are interested in signing the 37-year-old. Todd Boehly met with Ronaldo’s agent in June.
It is also reported that Cristiano is confident he can play further three or four seasons on the highest level.
Now with Romelu Lukaku out on loan to Inter Milan ahead of next season, it is true that the Blues lack a proven goalscorer with Timo Werner always misfiring. Thus, Tuchel is left with only Kai Havertz as the goal-getter which could reduce their chances of competing in all fronts.
Moreover, whether the Portuguese will trade paths with one of Man United’s local rivals is yet unknown as we wait for things to unfold in the coming days.
