Erik ten Hag has made his home debut as our new manager during the Rayo Vallecano clash at Old Trafford.

Fans may have noticed there was a new layout at the stadium – the home and away dugouts have been permanently switched.

This means the Manchester United manager, staff and substitutes will occupy the seats to the west of the half-way line – which was previously where the away team sat.

Our official website has confirmed that the changes were made after Erik visited Old Trafford for the first time in May.

The main reason behind the change is to bring the home staff and players closer to the Stretford End – where the heart of the Old Trafford faithful are present.

The new layout has been used for the very first time against Rayo Vallecano and will continue in the new season as well.
